Objective
The aim of this project is to establish the Black Economic Council (BEC) and organize an Idea Jam event to gather insights, strategies, and recommendations for fostering economic growth and support within the Black community.
Scope
The project encompasses multiple subcommittees, each contributing to the success of the BEC and the Idea Jam event. The key activities involve networking, event preparations, market research, narrative development, positive imaging, branding, marketing, event execution, media coverage, data collection, and producing a comprehensive Idea Jam report.
Results and Deliverables
VIP Subcommittee
– Engage Black community leaders and business figures (John, Warren, Devon, Sharron).
– Build council and network support, ensuring stakeholder and VIP buy-in.
– Deliver feedback from stakeholders through on-the-ground research.
Event Subcommittee
– Plan and prepare for the Idea Jam event.
– Design concept for event activities and agenda.
– Facilitate training for participation and technology use.
– Coordinate diverse speakers and VIPs.
– Develop diverse facilitators for virtual jam.
– Establish communication and engagement strategies.
– Deliver survey for attendees and collected ideas.
Market Research and Analysis:
– Communicate with organizations for demographic and economic data.

Narrative Development, Positive Imaging, and Branding
– Develop narrative, imaging, and branding for BEC.
– Craft press releases, storytelling framework, and brand storytelling.
– Create promotional materials including videos and transcripts.
ID3A Jam Marketing
– Develop marketing and promotional materials.
– Generate lead lists and design event materials.
– Establish event presence on social media.
– Secure RSVPs and communicate event details.
– Produce a steering committee welcome video.
– Prepare FAQs and promotional content.

– Engage focus groups and collect key data from participants.

Data Collection
– Enter all collected data into a database.

Produce ID3A Jam Report
– Develop a comprehensive report based on meeting data and learnings.
– Create a storytelling framework for data.

– Edit, copy edit, and create an executive summary.
– Produce both print and digital versions of the report.
